an update: blog makeover & personal makeover

Blog Update

Live Love Laugh PR has had a makeover!! I decided I wanted a new neutral theme, instead of the bright greens and blues it was before, and I also wanted a logo as I’ve never actually had one before!

As part of an Employability unit I’m doing for my PR degree, we have to come up with a business card design and I wanted the card to match my blog theme, to keep in with my brand identity etc. However, I didn’t think my old blog theme was professional enough so I had a play around on paint with designs and colours, and I’ve settled on a netural theme with elements of grey and greeny-teal. I love it!

Liv Update

Although my blog is primarily about PR, in the Summer I did a short series of how students can keep fit and healthy whilst on a budget. As part of my 2015 goals, I want to lose the weight brought on by a university lifestyle (and my lack of will power to not eat crisps as a regular meal!!) but finding the motivation has been such a struggle. I recently decided to stop drinking alcohol, kind of as part of the Dry January trend (even though I started around the 11th Jan) but also as a lifestyle change, to see if it would make a difference to my weight. I haven’t had alcohol for almost a month and I’m not sure if it’s made a difference to my body yet as I don’t weigh myself, but I cannot emphasise how nice a feeling it is to not be hungover, not succumb to the hangover junk food we all crave after a night out and not regret my life in general…!

I’ve been doing the 5:2 diet for about 3 weeks now, and it is tough, but I’m kind of getting used to it being part of my routine and lifestyle. My main downfall is weekends where I have no routine – I feel like I’ve wasted all my hard work from the week. Dorritos, donuts and chips anyone??

I don’t particularly want to blog a lot about fitness, healthy eating blah blah blah but I thought maybe blogging about it occasionally would help motivate myself a bit more, as well as any students/PR gals in the same healthy eating/fitness boat as me!

So yeah – that’s whats going on in my life at the moment! #newyearnewme and all that ;). If anyone would like a post on how I’m getting on with the 5:2 diet and what I eat for my 500 calorie meals etc, let me know.
